Yoga has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I have vivid memories of attending a yoga class with my mom as a toddler, and learning yoga from an amazing physical education teacher in elementary school, on my home island of St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands. My father turned to yoga for chronic back problems, and I witnessed the practice change his life, as he cultivated a daily home yoga practice.

I have an extensive background in dance and have always loved and craved movement, and in 2009, I returned to my personal yoga practice with a renewed sense of vigor and dedication. I practiced in St. Croix with at The Courtyard with many wonderful teachers, and in Los Angeles at Yoga Vibe and One Down Dog. In the fall of 2017 I began exploring the idea of teacher training, and signed up for a 200 hour training at One Down Dog, completing training in June 2018.

My teaching style is vinyasa flow informed by the wide variety of yoga types that I’ve explored, including Ashtanga and Kundalini. I have a personal interest in pranayama (breath) and manta (chanting), and my personal home practice is based in Kundalini, meditation and breath.
